Mother Nature Forces Postponement Again in Southeast Division
CECIL, Ga. - Due to persistent rains in the area, the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event which was scheduled to take place this weekend at South Georgia Motorsports Park has been postponed. The event will now take place Aug. 5-6.
The rescheduled event will feature time trials and qualifying on Friday and eliminations on Saturday. As an added bonus for the Southern Georgia fans, the weekend will feature a Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series double header, with the Gainesville Raceway Lucas Oil Series event, which has been postponed twice, completing their final eliminations here on Sunday, August 7.
“It seems like Mother Nature just doesn’t want to leave us alone this year. Sadly, this is our third rainout in a row, but fortunately for the fans we’ll be back in August to put on a good show,?? said Southeast Division Director, Bill Holt.
