Riverside Motorsports Park Appoints Mike Yurick President & General Manager

ATWATER, Calif.--Aug. 1, 20038, 2003--Riverside Motorsports Park, LLC (RMP) announced today that it has employed Michael Yurick as the motorsports facility's President and General Manager. Yurick's motorsports operational and management expertise spans 35 years, and includes positions as Director of Operations at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP), Director of Operations at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS), and General Manager, Director of Operations at Sears Point International Raceway (now Infineon Raceway). As a member of management with Speedway Motorsports Inc. , Yurick maintained a multimillion dollar P&L responsibility that included the successful coordination of' multiple NASCAR Winston Cup events at the company's oval and road course facilities, the construction of multiple NHRA drag strips, the development of professional road racing facilities, and the operational management of every form of short-track oval racing, including events on paved and dirt tracks. In addition, at both Indianapolis Raceway Park and the former Sears Point Raceway, Yurick oversaw multimillion-dollar facility upgrades, major event contract negotiations, and event coordination of nearly every form of motorsports in the country. His prowess in event operation management is perhaps best demonstrated by his success at maximizing facility utilization and profitability at LVMS by conducting up to six events concurrently.

Mike and his wife, Terry, are currently relocating from Indiana to their new home in Merced, California.

The number one spectator sport in the world, motorsports has become the fastest growing sport in the United States. As announced August 12, 2003, RMP's plans call for development of eight different tracks in its Merced County family recreation and motorsports park to support virtually every type of professional and amateur motorsports, including:

-- 3.0-mile road course for sports cars, endurance and open-wheel racing

-- 1/4-mile (5,000-foot total length) drag strip

-- Integrated 1/3- and 1/2-mile, banked paved oval tracks for stock cars and sprint cars

-- 3/8-mile dirt oval track for motorcycle, stock car, sprint and midget racing

-- 3/4-mile karting courses (sprint and shifter kart)

-- Motocross and BMX courses

-- 1-mile off-road course for trucks, buggies, rallycross cars, etc.

-- World-class oval speedway (Length: 7/8-mile) for major stock car and open-wheel racing series
