"We slowed down two tenths from practice. It looks like everybody else did, too. Hopefully the Sirius Dodge will end up where we were in practice, about 17th or 18th. Our car tightened up a lot in qualifying. I couldn't get in the gas, so I got up on the straightaways. The track conditions changed and we needed to make some changes on our car. We didn't know the track was going to change that much. We raced here good last time, so we'll be fine."

"It was a handful. I had no idea I was going to be that loose. We tried as hard as we could and we ended up 36th. One of my jobs when I came to Bill Davis Racing was to try to help the 23, 22 and 27 with qualifying. We're going to get together tonight and try to figure out what's going on. Mike (Wallace) went out last and beat me and knocked me down to 36th, but that's OK. I'm happy for him. We're in the race, and that's good."

STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid R/T)
"The guys on the Coors Light Dodge team kept working on it and got it better. It was terrible when practice started, but we saw in practice that the car never slowed down. We've got a good setup for the race. We ran about the same speed in qualifying, but we adjusted because we knew the track was going to get slicker. We ran 23.40s every time we went out in practice. We put on new tires and picked up about two tenths. A lot of guys picked up half a second, but from what I see now, we're going to race good. The tire feels better. I think it's got a little more grip."
