Legends Cars World Finals Cancelled for Friday & Saturday Nights at the
Hardeeville Motor Speedway


HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (September 13, 2002) - The 2nd annual Legends Cars World
Finals scheduled  for Friday and Saturday nights, September 13th and 14th
at the Hardeeville Motor Speedway has been postponed due to inclement
weather.  The event will be rescheduled for Friday and Saturday, October
4th and 5th.  There will be a practice day scheduled for Thursday, October
3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.    

The next event will be the Allison Legacy Cars Series making their third
and final appearance of the season at HMS on Lowcountry Concrete Night.
The Legacy cars will compete in two 50-lap feature events.  Also competing
on Saturday night will be the Legends Cars, the Coastal Medical Associates
Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Xtreme Stock Cars and Road Warriors.  The
Hardeeville Motor Speedway has Road Warrior cars available to rent or
purchase.  There will be open practice on Friday night  from 6:00 p.m. -
9:00 p.m.  

Gates open on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.  Racing will begin at 7:00 p.m.  The
ticket prices on Saturday will be $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for juniors
(13-16), seniors (55 and older) and military with proper identification.
Anyone who presents a paid ticket stub from August 10th or August 17th will
receive $5.00 off of an adult ticket or $3.00 off of a junior, senior or
military ticket.  Children 12 years of age and under will be admitted free.

The Hardeeville Motor Speedway is located three miles south of I-95 (exit 5
in SC) on Speedway Blvd./Highway 17 or just ten miles north of Savannah on
