INDY LIGHTS: Rain, Rain Makes Friday Practice Go Away At Gateway

Inconsistent rain showers Friday in the St. Louis area on Friday put the Dayton Indy Lights Championship on the short end of the stick on what was supposed to be the opening day of practice for Sunday's race at Gateway International Raceway. Although the Indy Racing Northern Light Series and USAC Silver Crown divisions were able to complete full practice sessions, the day's three different rain showers fell at the wrong time for Indy Lights. The day was called when the sky opened up just before Friday's one and only practice session at 5 p.m. was scheduled to start. Although weather forecasts do not look promising for tomorrow, action resumes on Saturday at Gateway.
