MANSFIELD OH - It came down to a battle of second and third generation drivers Saturday night at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway where third-generation driver Jimmy McCune came out on top over veteran Gene Lee Gibson.

McCune, in the Dave Cowing-Bisbee Travel Brayton Drinan, overhauled Jason Fuller on the fifth circuit and then held off a hard charge from three-time ARCA Auto Value Midget Series champion Gibson to win the 30-lap ARCA/NAMARS co-sanctioned main event. It was McCune’s tenth career ARCA Midget victory.

Old Milwaukee Quick Time award winner Gibson held off Ottawa Lake, Michigan driver Dave Baumgartner for second. Baumgartner finished third over brothers’ Aaron and Drew Pollock who finished fourth and fifth consecutively. Ryan Gillenwater, AJ Davis, Gary Harrell, Sondi Eden and Phil Rutledge completed the top-ten finishers.
