Michael Andretti, Car No. 39, Motorola/Honda-Reynard
"The car was dynamite at the end of the race. It was handling pretty well all day, but at the end, it really was great. Team Motorola did a super job in the pits today. Just as I thought coming into the race, pit stops were going to be important and lucky for us we were able to take advantage on our stops and gain a few positions each time. We were lucky we didn't have to make a third stop because my clutch gave out on the second stop. I'm pleased, we earned points, finished the race and moved up in the championship."
- Finished: 4th
- Started: 13th
- Status: Running
- Laps Completed: 72 of 72
- Points Earned: 12 for 48--3rd in the CART FedEx Championship
Kim Green, Team Motorola General Manager
"Michael drove a great race, starting from 13th and finishing the day in fourth spot. We couldn't be happier with the pit stops by the Team Motorola crew. Michael did a good job on the track, gaining two positions at the start and then the crew gained him two more in the pits. Overall, it was a great day, we earned points and moved up in championship position which is always one of the goals on race weekend."
