Dave Darland returns to Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. this Sunday night as the Stoops Freightliner Sprint Car point leader. He hopes for better results than he experienced at the 1/4-mile dirt track last year.

Holding an 11-point lead over Jay Drake, Dave has posted "top-10" finishes in each of this year's four races to date. Last year he finished 15th in the 30-lap Haubstadt feature.

Drake won last year's Pennzoil "Indiana Sprint Week" championship but was sixth at Haubstadt, so he'll be looking to better that performance as well. J.J. Yeley, currently third in the Stoops Freightliner standings and recent champion of "Border Wars VII," finished second to Cory Kruseman in last year's Haubstadt appearance.

Practice starts at 5:30 pm and qualifying starts at 6. The first race is at 7. A 30-lap feature follows complete preliminaries.
