Northern Light IRL: Miller released from Atlanta Hospital

HAMPTON, Ga., Sunday - Jack Miller was released April 29 in good condition from the Atlanta Medical Center after suffering a mild concussion in a multicar accident during the zMAX 500 Indy Racing Northern Light Series event April 28 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Miller was the only driver in the accident requiring hospitalization. The other 10 drivers involved in the crash on Lap 54 of the 200-lap race were examined and released from the infield care center at the track.

The other drivers in the accident were two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Al Unser Jr., Robbie Buhl, Jeret Schroeder, Robby McGehee, Billy Boat, Davey Hamilton, Casey Mears, Jon Herb, Cory Witherill and Sarah Fisher.

Greg Ray won the race, the third of the Northern Light Series season. The next event is the 85th Indianapolis 500 on May 27. Practice for the event starts May 6 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
