CART: PacWest Driver Scott Dixon Gains Oval Experience

April 24, 2001(Nazareth, PA) - PacWest Racing driver Scott Dixon headed to Pennsylvania for a CART rookie test on Saturday, April 21. Joining Dixon were rookie drivers Bruno Junqueira, Nicolas Minassian and Tora Takagi - all preparing for Round 4 of the CART FedEx Series at Nazareth Speedway on May 6, 2001. Dixon, driving the team's #18 Powerware Panasonic PacWest Toyota, was the second quickest completing approximately 187 laps logging a quick time of 20.8s.
Bruno Junqueira was the quickest of the day with a time of 20.4s. PacWest Racing Group will head home to complete finishing touches for Round 3 of the CART FedEx Championship Series at Texas Motor Speedway on April 29, 2001.

"The car felt great and we worked on a lot of different things and are very pleased with the results," said Dixon. "I put a lot of miles on the car today, which helped me gain experience at a track I'm not familiar with. We ran very competitively and I'm happy with the consistency of the Toyota Reynard package - we'll be prepared for Nazareth."
