Matt Streeter of Salt Lake City, UT, last year's USAC Western Midget Car "Hard Charger Award" winner, leads the series into this Sunday afternoon's racing program at the Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway.

Streeter, still seeking his initial USAC feature victory, finished third in the 2001 opener at Bakersfield, Calif. then added a 16th-place finish at Phoenix, Ariz. two weeks ago. He leads Alex Harris by 13 points going into the Stockton race.

A 30-lap feature is planned on the 1/4-mile paved oval following prelims. Practice is scheduled to start at 11 am.

Kasey Kahne and Josh Wise won last year's two races at Stockton, while Streeter posted a fourth and an 18th. Drivers will be aiming at Davey Hamilton's 1-lap track record of 13.147 seconds during time trials.
