Mercury Vehicles at the 2004 LA Auto Show

Mercury Grand Marquis
The Mercury Grand Marquis is an American car the way they used to build them: a 6-passenger sedan with body-on-frame construction and a 4.6-liter V-8 delivering 224 horsepower to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. Dual exhausts on the optional ‘handling package’ – which also includes 16-inch alloy wheels, all-season radials, rear stabilizer bar, rear air suspension and special springs -- raise the engine output to 239 horsepower.

Mercury Marauder
The Mercury Marauder is a 60’s American muscle car with a modern drivetrain and suspension. Under the hood is an all-aluminum, 4.6-liter V-8 producing 302 horsepower mated to a heavy-duty 4-speed automatic transmission and live rear axle with performance-tuned air springs. Marauder rides on Tokico gas shocks, 18-inch alloy wheels and is equipped with variable-ratio rack-and-pinion steering and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
Mercury Sable
For 2004, the Mercury Sable sports a freshened exterior, and the lineup has been simplified to two versions, GS and LS Premium. Two body styles, 4-door sedan and 5-door wagon are available, and both 5- and 6-passenger interior configurations are offered. The Sable GS wagon offers seating for eight with its rear-facing, third-row seat. Two different 3.0-liter V-6 engines are offered, one producing 155 horsepower and the other 201 horsepower.
