BMW Vehicles at the 2004 LA Auto Show

BMW 6 Series (North American Debut)
With the introduction of the all-new 645Ci Coupe, built in Dingolfing, Germany, BMW revives a model that was built from 1977 to 1989. Power is provided by a 4.4-liter, 325 horsepower V-8 engine and a choice of manual, automatic and racing-style 6-speed transmissions. A 2+2 convertible version is under development.

BMW 5 Series
The 5-Series is BMW’s high-performance, high-tech sports sedan, and the longer, wider, all-new 2004 model will be offered in three versions: the 525i powered by a 2.5-liter, 184 horsepower 6-cylinder; the 530i with a 3.0-liter, 225 horsepower 6-cylinder; and the 545i with a 4.4-liter, 325 horsepower V-8 under the hood.
BMW Z4
BMW has a long history of producing 2-seat, 6-cylinder roadsters, starting in 1935 with the 315/1 and 319/1. The latest vehicle in this long history is the Z4, introduced last year. Built in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the Z4 is offered in two versions; the 2.5i powered by a 2.5-liter, 184 horsepower 6-cylinder engine; and the 3.0i with a 3.0-liter, 225 horsepower 6-cylinder under the hood.
