PR-Canaska/Southwind Motorsport
24 Hours of Le Mans Update: June 15th; THROUGH HOUR 4

CANASKA/SOUTHWIND'S VIPERS RUNNING STRONG--Both of Canaska/Southwind
Motorsport's Vipers are running consistently through the first four hours of the 24 Hours of Le
Mans. The team is maintaining its pre-race strategy of setting a conservative pace with its goal to
bring both cars across the finish line at the race's end.

Viper #48, with Americans Price Cobb, Mark Dismore and Shawn Hendricks, is 18th in GT1 class
and 28th overall. Viper #49, with American John Morton, Canadian Victor Sifton and Frenchman
Alain Cudini, runs 22nd in GT1 class and 36th overall.

Halfway through the third hour, Viper #49 suffered a punctured tire on the Mulsanne and was
forced to pit. Viper #48 experienced fuel pump failure at the start of the fourth hour but the
Canaska/Southwind crew replaced the pump in four minutes.

All six drivers have taken their turns behind the wheel and they are all reporting comfortable rides,
in spite of the hot temperatures and burning afternoon sun. The cooling problems which plagued
the cars at Sebring has definitely been corrected, no doubt to the great appreciation of the drivers.

QUOTES:
CHARLIE COOK, TEAM CO-OWNER AND MANAGER -- "I hate replacing fuel pumps because it
put us down two laps, but if that's the biggest problem we have then that's fine by me."

PRICE COBB -- "It was all pretty good. If you drove the car carefully, feathering the throttle, the
grip was still there with the tires so we stayed with the same set for a double stint."

ALAIN CUDINI -- "No problems apart from the heat - the heat for the car, the driver and the tires. I
think the puncture I had was caused by a Ferrari which spun on the previous lap. I hit some
bodywork and that punctured the tire."
