(CCI) in 1973 and built slide-in truck campers from a 2000-square-foot facility in Alvadore, Oregon. Starting with two employees, the company grew quickly, and produced its first Class C motorhome the following year. By 1975, they moved for the third time, into a 12,000-square-foot site in Eugene, Oregon. Expanding each year, the company unveiled its first Class A motorhome in 1979 and employed 40 people. Its first luxury diesel pusher motorhome was produced in 1982, and the company has focused on that type of product ever since. Today, Country Coach comprises over 508,000 square feet of manufacturing facility spanning over eight city blocks on 46 acres. With 1700 employees, manufacturing and corporate headquarters are located in Junction City, Oregon. Country Coach makes a range of rear engine diesel motorcoaches with multiple slide room options in 34 to 45 lengths, built on the companys own DynoMax chassis. A separate model line, the custom Prevost XLII Conversion, is built on the Prevost chassis. Country Coach was acquired by National RV in 1996, and held until February 16, 2007, when it was resold. Now Country Coach, Inc. has once again become independently owned and operated. Founder Bob Lee is still involved with Country Coach, serving as Chairman Emeritus.
