Cooper S The ‘S’ is the high-performance version of the modern Mini, with a supercharged version of the 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine under the hood producing 163 horsepower, 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 136 mph. The S is visually distinguished by a functional hood scoop, body-colored bumpers, center-mounted dual exhaust and different wheels and tires. |

Launched in March of 2002, the Mini Cooper is the modern interpretation of the
Mini Classic -- Britain’s best-selling car ever -- which ceased production in
1967. The new Mini is built in the same factory in Oxford, England as the original
and is powered by a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine that produces 0 to 60 mph acceleration
in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 126 mph. |
