Automobile Magazine Founder and Editor David E. Davis, Jr. stated: "We
have changed our approach to the Automobile Magazine All-Stars. Instead of
picking the 10 or 12 vehicles that we believe to be the most interesting and
important of the year, we have decided to choose vehicles that we believe to
be the best of their kinds within sharply defined market segments." An
on-page reader poll appeared in the January issue, and thousands of readers
returned ballots by mail, fax and the Internet. Readers' picks will be
juxtaposed with editors' selections in the May issue of Automobile Magazine,
on newsstands tomorrow.
