Race to Indy Trivia Challenge

1. Contest Description / How to Play:

The Race to Indy Trivia Challenge is a skill contest where participants must answer a series of trivia questions to win prizes.

Contestants will be presented with twenty-one (21) trivia questions about Indianapolis 500 history. Contestants who answer the most questions correctly will be awarded the prizes. In the event of a tie for the grand prize or any other prize, contestants will be entered into a random drawing for the prizes as set forth in "Winner Selection/Tie-Breakers".

No purchase necessary to enter.

2. Program Period:

The Race to Indy Trivia Challenge begins on April 21, 1997 and ends on May 12, 1997.

3. How to Register / Enter:

The Race to Indy Trivia Challenge is open to CBS SportsLine members and non-members. Those wishing to enter may do so by following the instructions set forth in the free entry area located at http://www.sportsline.com/u/contests/indy500/index.html on the SportsLine service. Contestants will be required to submit their name, mailing address, email address and phone number in order for their entry to be valid. Only entries completed in full will be accepted. Limit one entry per person. In the event a contestant enters more than once, their first correct entry received will be considered "official" for the purposes of the drawing. All other entries will be disqualified. No responsibility is assumed by SportsLine for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, or mutilated entries or for any computer, online, human, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. SportsLine reserves the right to modify or terminate the contest if it becomes technically corrupted.

In the event of a dispute about the identity of the person making the entry, entries made online will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If the potentially winning entry is an Internet or other computer entry, potential winner may be requested to provide SportsLine with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry.

Contestants may not play with multiple e-mail addresses, nor may contestants use any other device or artifice to play multiple times or as multiple contestants. Any contestant who attempts to play with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities, or uses any other device or artifice to play multiple times, will be disqualified.

5. Winner Selection/Tie-Breaker:

Winners will be determined on or around May 13, 1997. The contestants with the highest number of correct guesses will place for prizes. In the event of a tie for any place, all eligible contestants will be entered into a random drawing.

6. Winner Notification and Verification:

Winners will be determined by highest totals of correct answers on May 13, 1997 and ties broken by random computer process. Winners will be notified of their status by e-mail, phone or mail message. Decisions of the CBS SportsLine judges in all other matters relating to this contest are final.

7. Eligibility:

The contest is open to U.S. and Canadian residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void in Quebec and where prohibited by law. Employees and consultants of SportsLine , and their parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and members of the immediate families of any CBS SportsLine or consultant (immediate family is defined as parent, sibling or any person residing in the same household as employee or consultant) are not eligible to receive prizes.

8. General Conditions:

By participating, each participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these rules and by the decision of the judges which shall be final and binding in all respects. Canadian winners will be required to correctly answer, without assistance whether mechanical or otherwise, a timed mathematical skill testing question to be administered over the telephone at a mutually convenient time. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. Participants agree to CBS SportsLine's use of their names and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted except by CBS SportsLine. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. SportsLine reserves the right to modify these rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the game.

9. Winners List:

Winners will be notified of winning at the time of the drawing via email, phone or mail message. CBS SportsLine is not responsible for incorrect email addresses, phone numbers or mailing addresses.
