MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--RADIOLINE, a global radio provider (No. 1 in Europe), will preview its radio & podcast app for cars with infotainment systems powered by Android at Google I/O 2019.

Radioline is presenting a demo of its service using Android Automotive OS, the cutting-edge OS for automobile manufacturers.

Radioline’s team developed a smart and convenient application for drivers, which includes leveraging the Google Assistant for voice commands like play / pause / next / previous / rewind (for podcast) / fast forward (for podcast). From the menu, the app provides direct access to Local stations (Sports / News / Music), Favorites stations, Top podcasts & latest episodes, and limited scrolls and clicks for navigation.

Curated catalogs are proposed with selected main stations (local and Int’l) and podcasts (replay & native). Favorite stations can be flagged with a Heart button on the player.

“Our partnership with Google offers us a great opportunity to provide an innovative and reliable application to the automotive industry,” said Xavier Filliol, COO of Radioline. “OEMs are rapidly digitizing their infotainment systems and need agile and strong partners like us, with a broad coverage of stations and podcasts and 15 years of experience.”

Radioline is also providing hybrid radio solutions for automotive industry, with a seamless experience from FM/DAB to IP streams.
