ATA Opens Registration for Safety, Security and Human Resources Event

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, American Trucking Associations announced it has opened registration for its Safety Management Council and Transportation Security Council's annual Safety, Security, and Human Resources National Conference and Exhibition 2017 to be held November 14-16 in Memphis, Tennessee.

The event, jointly sponsored by ATA's Safety Management Council and its Transportation Security Council, will cover topics critical to the trucking industry including safety, security, claims and loss prevention, staffing and human resources.

"At ATA, safety is, has been and always will be our number one priority; and today more than ever it is impossible to be safe if you aren't also secure," said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. "Continuing education and networking is an essential component to the ongoing development of professionals throughout our industry, and the SSHR Conference & Exhibit is a critically important event and valuable resource in those areas."

Among the highlights of this year's SSHR Conference & Exhibit will be keynote addresses from Deborah Hersman, president and CEO of the National Safety Council; and Bruce Townsend, FedEx Corp.'s senior vice president of global security.

In addition to industry-leading educational programs, general sessions, breakout sessions and roundtables, along with Technical Committee meetings spanning three days, there are many opportunities to network with colleagues during exhibit hall receptions, meals and the annual awards reception and banquet. Finally, this year's exhibit hall promises to host the latest products and solutions related to safety, security and human resources.
