Princess Cruises Overhauls Additional Train Cars With SmartTray® Tables
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 29, 2017 -- SmartTray® Rail & Bus, LLC announced today Princess Cruises Rail in Anchorage, Alaska, the first rail line in North America to deploy SmartTray® PED friendly tray tables on half of its train cars last year, made the decision last month to overhaul additional rail cars with SmartTray tables for 2018 Alaska season.
SmartTray proprietary, multi-function tray tables allow hands-free use of smartphones and electronic tablets while freeing up much needed space for food, beverage, and other items brought onboard. Electronic devices are always within arm's reach, in full sight, and securely held in SmartTray PED holders, lowering risks of these fragile devices becoming airborne, falling, and breaking.

Fifty percent of Princess Cruises rail cars are already equipped with SmartTray integrated PED holders. For the 2018 Alaska season that runs May – September each year, Princess will have seventy percent of its trains outfitted with SmartTray tables. Princess Cruises Rail offers service between Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali National Park and Fairbanks. Princess also offers Direct to the Wilderness rail service between the cruise terminal in Whittier and Princess Denali-area wilderness lodges.
