Car of the Week - June 11, 2001

2001 Hyundai Santa Fe

Surprise! It's a Hyundai! The 2001 Santa Fe jumps right into the SUV market with peppy performance, sleek styling, and (of course) reasonable price tag.

santafe_int It's 4-speed electronically controlled Shiftronic™ automatic overdrive transmission is standard on Santa Fe V6 models. This means you can shift the transmission manually.

santafe_eng It's powered by a 24-valve, all-aluminum DOHC V6 engine - complete with multi-port, electronic fuel injection and computerized engine control, self-adjusting valves, as well as hydroelastic frame mounts.

santafe_seats Rear seats fold down for cargo, and the material used in the cloth seats wins my "Comfy-on-the-legs-when-you're-wearing-shorts" award.

santafe_audio And they remembered that the only GOOD place to put your CD changer is in the dash.
