Heuliez Intruder
by Paul Negyesi
The Heuliez Groupe is the French equivalent of the Italian Pininfarina. It's not just a design house: they manufacture the Citroen XM and theXantia estate. From time to time they present an intriguing one-off tofree their minds. This happened again at the recent Paris Autoshow. The Intruder is based on the Mercedes G and its the creation of the Italianartm of the Heuliez group. The aim was to create a versatile off-roader.One which should be converted from "Coupé" to "Cabriolet". Atpresent the Intruder is a coupé with a removable hard-top whichtransforms the car to a Roadster!
The engines is an unchanged Mercedes six-cylinder unit, with a max. powerof 210 bhp. It's been combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The car is water-proof until the water-level is under 60 cm.
