Construction

4-door sedan, unibody construction, energy-absorbing front and rear crumple zones. Direct glazed front and rear windshields. Wrap-around bumpers. Forward hinged hood. Dual airbags.

Paint and Protection

All critical body panels zinc coated. Zinc phosphate pre-treatment, cathodic electrocoat, clear coat over base paint process with electrostatic application of primer and clear coats. Two base color and two clear coats. PVC underseal. Box sections and closed members hot-wax injected.

Canadian Specification

All Jaguar sedans sold in Canada are equipped with an engine block heater, headlamp power washers, heated windshield, heated front and rear seats and traction control. In the U. S., the All-Weather Package for sedans, comprising traction control and heated front and rear seats, is optional on XJ6, XJ6 L and Vanden Plas. In the U. S., the engine block heater is a dealer accessory. The SJS L is not available in Canada.
