All Jaguar Sedans
- Three new exterior colors: Anthracite, Sherwood and Cabernet
- Three-point seat belt in the rear center seating position
- The CD autochanger and the amplifier unit for Harman Kardon audio system (standard on XJR, optional on all other sedans) relocated to the left inside fender well of the trunk
- All sedans equipped with a contoured bench rear seat
- New engine management system software enhances diagnostic capabilities
- XJ12 Sedan discontinued
XJ6 Sedan
- Black-vane grille replaces chrome-vane grille
- Convenience Package becomes optional on U.S. models: Garage door opener, electrochromic interior mirror, and memory adjustment for driver’s seat, door mirror and steering wheel
XJ6 L Sedan
- New long-wheelbase model five inches longer than XJ6. Equipment identical to XJ6. Available only in the United States
Vanden Plas Sedan
- Contoured rear bench seat replaces flat bench
- CD autochanger made optional on U.S. models
XJR Sedan
- Rear seat heaters deleted on U.S. models
