Honda to showcase F6-based concept cruisers at Motorcycle Show

8 December 2000

Motorcycle cruiser enthusiasts will have a special treat at the Honda display
this weekend at the Cycle World 2001 International Motorcycle Show in Long
Beach, California -- three radical concept cruisers built around the mighty
Honda F-6 engine.

The concept bikes, created by Honda R&D Americas, focus a spotlight on Honda's
ever-widening range of "Performance First" motorcycle designs. The horizontally
opposed, six cylinder Honda F6 engine is an ideal high performance platform on
which to showcase the latest thinking of Honda's designers. Market researchers
will be on hand to survey riders about the features they like -- or would like
to see -- on each design.

While riders ogle these show-stopping hot rods, they will also have time to view
all of Honda's 2001 model lineup, including the all-new GL1800 Gold Wing, Shadow
Spirit 750, CBR600F4i, and the world's biggest, most powerful mass production
V-twin cruiser, the 2002 VTX with the 103bhp 1800cc engine.
