Starcraft Announces New Tecstar Plant is Operational; Plant Begins Production of Upfit Packages for Chevrolet Blazers

    GOSHEN, Ind.--Nov. 29, 2000--Starcraft Corporation (Nasdaq SmallCap:STCR) announced today that its Tecstar joint venture has successfully completed the start-up of a new 40,000 square foot plant in Bridgewater, New Jersey on November 20, 2000.
    The new plant in Bridgewater, New Jersey has begun producing upfit packages for the 2001 model of the 2-door Chevrolet Blazers, called the Blazer "Xtreme". Tecstar was awarded a $25 million, 3-year contract with General Motors in March 2000 to produce the upfit packages. Enhancements for the "Xtreme" include exterior graphics, ground effects, special wheels and lowered suspension.
