Dynasty Motorcar Corporation: DaimlerChrysler Enters LSV Market

KELOWNA, B.C.--Oct. 27, 2000--Barry Good, Chairman of Dynasty Motorcar Corporation (CDNX:DYC.) has been advised by Ken Montler, President of Global Electric Motorcars, LLC ("GEM") that the assets and business of GEM have been sold to DaimlerChrysler Corporation ("Daimler").
Daimler issued a news release on October 23, 2000 regarding the GEM purchase, but specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Dynasty is the exclusive Canadian distributor of the GEM lineup of Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs). Dynasty has not been approached by DaimlerChrysler seeking to vary Dynasty's distribution rights in Canada.
Daimler's entry to the LSV market follows Ford's announcement last January to launch the Th!nk Neighbour LSV, expected to be available in early 2001. Mr. Good commented that "We believe the entrance of Daimler and Ford is positive for the LSV industry and that it validates the LSV market. We are confident that the Dynasty family of proprietary advanced electric LSVs scheduled for release in mid 2001 will be the market leader".
