E-ZPass Mobile Van Offer Motorists Convenient E-ZPass Sign-up; Motorist can sign up for E-ZPass, receive an E-ZPass tag and speak with a Customer Service Representative on the spot.

    EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ--Sept. 20, 2000--E-ZPass is scheduled for implementation on the New Jersey Turnpike September 30, 2000.
    New Jersey motorists who want to begin enjoying the time saving benefits and toll discounts available with E-ZPass electronic toll collection program will have the opportunity to open an account during scheduled appearances of the E-ZPass Mobile Van at various service areas on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway, at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, and in Delaware. The Mobile Van will be taking customer applications, issuing E-ZPass tags and answering customer questions about the innovative toll collection program.

    In addition to the locations listed above, the Mobile Van will be making several visits to area employers who have requested the E-ZPass mobile van presence for their employee's convenience. Local employers can request to have E-ZPass staff available for E-ZPass enrollment by calling the E-ZPass Customer Service Center.
    By visiting the E-ZPass Mobile Van, motorists can receive information about the E-ZPass program, pick up an application, open an account and receive their E-ZPass electronic toll tag on the spot. The van is staffed with E-ZPass Customer Service Representatives to answer customer questions.
    E-ZPass is the electronic toll collection program of the Regional Consortium. The Regional Consortium member agencies are the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, the New Jersey Highway Authority (operator of the Garden State Parkway), the South Jersey Transportation Authority (operator of the Atlantic City Expressway) the Delaware Department of Transportation, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The Consortium member agencies are also a part of the larger Interagency Group (IAG), an association of thirteen northern toll agencies spanning seven states that have committed to offering a fully interoperable electronic toll collection system known as E-ZPass for motorists using the toll roads, bridges and tunnels in the region.
    The E-ZPass Mobile Van is a simple and convenient way to open an E-ZPass account. Motorists can establish an account any time by visiting the E-ZPass Web Site at www.EZPass.com; the site is interactive and completely secure. Motorist can also open an account by calling the E-ZPass Customer Service Center at 1-888-AUTO-Toll (1-888-288-6865), or by visiting the Regional Consortium E-ZPass Customer Service Centers.
