Subaru of America Proudly Supports National Car Care Month; Nationwide Focus on Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Begins in October
CHERRY HILL, N.J., Sept. 15 Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA),
a pioneer of crossover all-wheel drive vehicles designed for the active
lifestyle driver, today announced its support of National Car Care Month, a
nationwide effort by businesses, civic groups, the government and the media to
focus motorists' attention on the need to maintain and repair their cars.
Starting in October and continuing through the end of the year, Subaru is
working with its dealers to host free car care clinics for owners of Subaru
vehicles. Subaru owners are encouraged to bring their vehicles into local
dealerships for a free professional diagnostic inspection with no obligation.
The inspection includes a check-up of all major operating systems with a
written report of the vehicle's condition.
The Car Care Council, a non-profit organization created over 25 years ago,
promotes National Car Care Month and educates motorists about the benefits of
proper vehicle maintenance. October, the month generally designated for this
event, is a perfect time for motorists to get their cars properly serviced
before the winter months. Through this nationwide event, the Car Care Council
aims to improve highway safety, air quality and fuel conservation.
"Subaru proudly supports the Car Care Council's effort to educate
consumers on the benefits of taking care of their vehicles," said Ginny
Newkirk, fixed operations advertising and communications manager, Subaru of
America, Inc. "The Subaru car care clinics will not only be a great
opportunity for owners to prepare their cars for winter, it will also help to
preserve the life of their vehicles -- no matter what the weather."
Subaru owners should contact their local Subaru dealers for available
clinic dates and times. Owners can contact 1-800-SUBARU-3 or visit
http://www.subaru.com to locate a Subaru dealer in their area.
