Theft Prevention Systems Announces SafeGuard -- Synthetic DNA Coding
CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 12 Theft Prevention Systems has
Just Launched Their Safeguard Line of Theft Prevention Products Using the
Revolutionary New Technology Known as S-DNA or Synthetic DNA.
S-DNA is a process that allegedly creates a synthetic version of DNA that,
when applied to an object, creates a permanent, unalterable chemical code.
"Everything, including automobiles, ATVs, electronics, art, office equipment,
clothing, sporting goods and jewelry can be marked," said Mark Pasay,
President of Theft Prevention Systems.
Once the S-DNA is applied, the carrier fluid immediately starts to dry,
causing a mild chemical reaction that allows the S-DNA forensic code to flow
into those spaces that exist between the molecules of the material it was
applied to. The S-DNA mark or number can be detected by the use of either a
UV light or a regent, which turns red when rubbed with a cotton swab dipped
in a test fluid.
Theft Prevention Systems can help eliminate the problem of property owners
not being able to identify recovered stolen articles. "Items marked with a
Safeguard product carries that mark for life as it cannot be rubbed off,
sanded off, ground off or washed off, and it will never wear off. Therefore,
all question of ownership is removed forever," said Pasay.
The property owner is advised to mark an item in three different places
with their drivers license number. This number is recommended because it is
traceable through any computer, in any police car in North America. The
property owner then records the make, model and value of an item on the asset
registration form and finally attaches SafeGuard's warning labels to indicate
that the property is traceable and the forensic serial number cannot be
removed.
