Superior Tire Service Opens New Headquarters

    SALEM, Ore. - Superior Tire Service has moved its headquarters from 2350 
Mission Street, Salem, Oregon to a new eight-acre site at 4230 27th Court SE, 
Salem, Oregon. STS passenger and truck sales and service, along with its 
administrative offices are joining its new Michelin Retread Technologies factory.
The move helps to consolidate STS's Salem facilities, creating greater 
efficiency for the company and easier access for customers. STS employs 60 
people at its new location.

    Superior Tire Service owner and President Jim Ryan sold the Mission Street
property to Les Schwab Tire Centers. Superior Tire Service remains an
independent tire company completely unaffiliated with Les Schwab.

    Superior Tire Service was founded in 1963 by owner/operator Jim Ryan and
provides sophisticated tire management systems for trucking companies
throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington, as well as, tire, wheel, brake and
alignment sales and service for passenger cars with locations in Salem and
Gladstone, Oregon and Longview, Washington.
