iSalvage Names Chief Technology Officer

New Directors to Help Lead Business Development

    NEW YORK - iSalvage.com, an online business-to-business marketplace connecting suppliers and buyers of recycled and remanufactured parts, today announced a new CTO and a new team to lead its business development.

    iSalvage has appointed Dominique Laborde as executive vice president and CTO, Nic Gaeta has been named senior director of business development, and Chris Witty has been hired as senior director of business development & planning.

    In his role as iSalvage's CTO, Laborde will be responsible for executing the company's information technology strategy and delivering solutions that support the rapid growth of iSalvage's business. Laborde has 25 years of strategic, technical, and managerial experience. Most recently, he was senior vice president of product development at Dun & Bradstreet. Laborde has also worked at AIG as vice president and chief technologist and at Computer Associates where he was vice president, research and development. He focuses on database and software engineering topics as a frequent lecturer and writer/contributor in the technical community. Laborde has a computer science degree from Paris University in France.

    Nic Gaeta joins iSalvage as senior director of business development with an added focus on the international markets. Gaeta brings 11 years of global automotive industry expertise to iSalvage. At Ford Motor Company he held senior business development and operational leadership roles in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. Previously, he held finance positions at Merck & Co. and KPMG. Gaeta earned an MBA from IMD in Switzerland.

    iSalvage hired Chris Witty as senior director of business development & planning. He will focus on sourcing, negotiating, and closing strategic deals as well as providing strategic direction for new business initiatives. Witty comes to iSalvage from e-Steel, where, as director of business development, he negotiated their recently launched Japanese joint venture. Witty also has several years experience in finance, mergers & acquisitions, and automotive equity research gained at Delphi Automotive and Goldman Sachs. Witty has an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School.
