14 July 2000

Indiana's Ford Racing Fan Appreciation Day Will Give Guests a Chance to Win A Special Edition Harley-Davidson F-150 and Meet NASCAR Drivers Aug. 2

DEARBORN, Mich. - The fifth annual Ford Racing Fan Appreciation Day in
Indianapolis will offer fans exciting opportunities to meet their favorite Ford
Winston Cup drivers, and a chance to win a Special Edition Harley-Davidson F-150.
The exciting event will take place Wednesday, August 2, 2000, from 4-8 p.m. at
the RCA Dome.

The Ford Racing Fan Appreciation Day Sponsored by Your Indiana Ford Stores
precedes the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's Brickyard 400, which is scheduled
for Saturday, August 5, 2000. The event will bring together various Ford
Racing sponsors and drivers for a free evening of racing-related fun for the
whole family.

Ford NASCAR Winston Cup drivers such as 1999 Winston Cap Champion Dale
Jarrett, Jeff Burton, Mark Martin, Rusty Wallace, Bill Elliott, Jeremy
Mayfield, Ricky Rudd, Elliott Sadler, Robert Pressley, and Kevin Lepage are
among those scheduled to appear for autograph and Q-and-A sessions. Also,
fans will be able to meet several NASCAR Craftsman Truck drivers.

This year's extra bonus will be the giveaway of a Special Edition Harley-
Davidson F-150. Five Fan Day attendees, 18 years or older, will be chosen
from admission tickets for a chance to win.

Another thrilling opportunity for fans is to try their hand at one of the
four GameWorks driving simulators. For any NASCAR fan who wonders what it is
like to sit behind the steering wheel of a real race car, this is the
opportunity to find out. The driving simulator will give fans a chance to
test their driving skills while competing against an opponent.

In addition, several Ford teams will have their show cars on display and
team merchandise for sale. The event will feature interactive racing
displays, clowns and children's attractions, production vehicle and car club
displays, and pit crew demonstrations along with other interesting racing
attractions.

Free Fan Day tickets are available at any of the 62 Indiana Ford Stores
from July 14-August 2, 2000.
