AMA: 2001 AMA EA Sports Supercross Schedule announced

     PICKERINGTON, Ohio --  American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Pro Racing

announced today the schedule for the 2001 AMA EA Sports Supercross season. The

2001 season will begin in Anaheim, Calif., at Edison International Field on

January 6th, for it's twenty-seventh season opener.

     The series will then travel south to San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium for round

two before returning to Anaheim for the third round. It will then head to

Phoenix, Ariz., return to Anaheim for yet another round before moving eastward

to Indianapolis for round six.

     The remainder of the schedule will take EA Sports Supercross to Atlanta,

Ga.; New Orleans, La.; Daytona Beach, Fla.; Minneapolis, Minn.; Houston, Texas;

St. Louis, Mo.; Pontiac, Mich.; Irving, Texas; and then on to the newest venue

introduced to supercross - Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah - just

prior to the season finals being held once again in Las Vegas, Nev., at Sam Boyd

Stadium.

     The 2001 AMA ES Sports Supercross schedule follows:

     February 10 RCA Dome (Indianapolis, Ind.)
     February 24 Georgia Dome (Atlanta, Ga.)
     March 3    Superdome (New Orleans, La.)
     March 10   Daytona Speedway (Daytona Beach, Fla.)
     March 17   Metrodome (Minneapolis, Minn.)
     March 24   Astrodome (Houston, Texas)
     March 31   Trans World Dome (St. Louis, Mo.)
     April 7    Silverdome (Pontiac, Mich.)
     April 21   Texas Stadium (Irving, Texas)
     April 28   Rice-Eccles Stadium (Salt Lake City, Utah)
     May 5      Sam Boyd Stadium (Las Vegas, Nev.)
