Ford Honors Coachmen with Top Class A Chassis Sales Award
ELKHART, Ind. - Coachmen Industries, Inc. was recently awarded one of the
five top Ford Motor Company awards for class A motorhome chassis production in
1999. Coachmen ranked third in the number of class A chassis bought from Ford.

Ken Farr, Recreation and Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager at Ford Motor
Company, made the awards presentation recently at the Las Vegas (Nevada) Pool
Account Meeting. "It's a great honor for Ford to present this award to
Coachmen," Farr said. "Coachmen is a strong company with a value-driven
approach that underlines its working relationships with its many partners."

Officials at Coachmen were also pleased with the honor. "We recognize the
significance of achieving top five status at Ford for two years running," said
Claire C. Skinner, Coachmen Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.
"Our recent upgrades and improvements in production capacity, along with our
introduction of innovative new product designs, will solidify our place in the
class A market."

Class A motorhomes built on Ford chassis include Coachmen RV Company's
Santara, Catalina and Mirada models. Georgie Boy produces four different

Pursuit.

Coachmen Industries, Inc. is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of
recreational vehicles. The company's All American Homes division is America's
leading producer of modular homes. Coachmen is publicly held with stock listed
