PT Cruiser Fans Flock to Las Vegas for 1st Annual CruiseLAS VEGAS - PT Cruisers will converge in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino for the PT Cruiser Club's 1st Annual Las Vegas Cruise to be held July 27-30, 2000. "The many activities of the event include a Friday cruise to Hoover Dam where there will be a private hard hat tour," said Michael J. Challis, Club President. "The Harley Davidson Cafe, on the heart of the strip, will serve as our host for the Saturday morning cruise-in," Challis added "The cruise is going to be a blockbuster," said Manley Bland, the club's Southwest Regional Director. "We have cars and fun loving fans coming from as far away as Canada and Japan." Customized PTs will be on display at the various gathering spots of the Cruiser loyalists. The event is open to all visitors and represents a superior opportunity for future owners to talk directly with the drivers of this hot new retro car from DaimlerChrysler -- the car that has the driving public overwhelmed. The PT Cruiser has produced the biggest buzz among car enthusiasts since the introduction of the 1965 Mustang, according to Challis. The retro-styled car has the markings of a 30s Chrysler Airflow, a London taxi, and an early woody wagon. With its tall grill, rounded fenders, and slanted hot rod roofline, it has been termed a "home run ball" for the Chrysler group. About PT Cruiser Club: http://www.ptcruiserclub.org is the worlds fastest growing car club with over 2500 members from 11 countries. Annual dues are $39. While the club has no direct ties to DaimlerChrysler, it provides its members a wealth of information about the car, constant amusement, and warm friendships. Club benefits include such things as purchasing tips, customizing and technical information, and a 10% discount on service work, parts and accessories from participating Chrysler Dealers.
