MOTORCYCLES: Chevy Truck Superbike Road Atlanta, Friday

Reigning AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Superbike Champ Mat Mladin was fastest in
today's Superbike qualifying session at Road Atlanta. Mladin's Yoshimura
Suzuki was clocked at 1:23.782 with an average speed of 109.140 mph.


Yamaha's Tommy Hayden was second-fastest with a time of 1:24.688.
Kawasaki's Eric Bostrom followed with a time of 1:24.745, and Mladin's
Suzuki teammate Jason Pridmore was fourth-fastest with a time of 1:24.755


Superbike qualifying resumes tomorrow at 11:40am.


ESPORTBIKE.COM FORMULA XTREME - QUALIFYING


Erion Honda's Kurtis Roberts, the reigning series champ, has the pole for
tomorrow's eSportbike.com Formula Xtreme race. Roberts earned pole with a
time of 1:25.872 and an average speed of 105.646 mph.


Valvoline Suzuki rider John Hopkins was second-fastest with a time of
1:26.237. Robert's Erion teammate Josh Hayes was third fastest with a time
of 1:26.567, and 1998 AMA Buell Pro Thunder Champ Paul Harrell was fourth
fastest, with a time of 1:26.685 on the Graves Motorsports Yamaha.


LOCKHART PHILLIPS USA 750 SUPERSPORT - QUALIFYING


Chaparral Mazda Suzuki rider Damon Buckmaster was fastest during today's
qualifying session with a time of 1:26.797 and average speed of 105.349
mph. Valvoline Suzuki rider John Hopkins was second-fastest with a time of
1:27.107. Hooters Suzuki rider Mike Ciccoto was third fastest with a time
of 1:27.215, and Hopkins' Valvoline teammate Grant Lopez was fourth-fastest
with a time of 1:27.884.
