Phillies Games Are a Win-Win Situation For Monro Muffler/Brake & Service Customers
Automotive Specialty Chain Sets Prices According to Game Score

PHILADELPHIA, May 26 Monro Muffler/Brake & Service is
pleased to announce that it will give any customer an oil change or state
inspection at the price equivalent to the total runs scored during the
previous Sunday's Phillies game. If the game's score was 2 - 1, Monro will
provide an oil change or state inspection for $3, compared to its going price
for the services of $19.99 and $12.00, respectively.
So how much money have our Boys of Summer saved its fans? Since the
promotion began on April 16, 2000, with 7 being the low total runs scored
(Phillies v. Marlins, 4.23.00; Philly v. Cardinals, 4.30.00; and Philly v.
Rockies, 5.21.00) and 13 being the high total runs scored (Phillies v. Braves,
5.14.00), Monro customers saved an average of $11 per oil change, and over
$3 per state inspection. More money for the hot dogs!
The promotion runs the entire season and the special rates are available
on the Tuesday through Thursday following the Sunday game. Customers must
mention the promotion to receive the special rates.
With more than 40 years of experience and 500 stores in the northeast,
including 36 in the tri-state area, Monro services over 2 million cars
annually, and is one of the nation's leading automotive specialists.
