Savage Hyundai Gives Car to Deserving Student

    READING, Pa.--May 25, 2000--John Savage of Savage Hyundai is recognizing the positive, promoting education and commending students seeking a brighter future.
    On Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Reading High School, Savage Hyundai awarded Nicoleta Necula with the Second Annual Hyundai Educational Advancement Award. Necula was awarded a brand-new 2000 Hyundai Accent complete with the Hyundai Advantage, America's best warranty. Necula is being recognized for her award-winning essay highlighting how a vehicle could jumpstart her future and further her education.
    Created by John Savage, the Hyundai Educational Advancement Award's primary goal is to distinguish the importance of higher learning and to assist the winners in their pursuit of secondary education.
    "The success of last year's inaugural advancement award only confirmed my commitment to assisting these deserving students in furthering their educational goals," commented Savage. "By providing worry-free transportation, I'm able to alleviate a significant portion of the financial burden that accompanies any top-notch education."
    Students qualified for the award by writing an essay demonstrating how a car would prove invaluable while pursuing a secondary education. In addition to writing the essay, students were required to be enrolled in a secondary education program and have a written recommendation from a Reading teacher or faculty member. The response was overwhelming, and through a thoughtful selection process, a winner was chosen.
    "I am always amazed at the incredible talent of these young people. With a little financial assistance, they can all pursue their educational goals," Savage remarked. "Hopefully, other area business owners will consider similar programs. We all know that a good education is the cornerstone on which you build your future."
