2-in-1 Silicone Fluid Offers Shine and Detergent Resistance All in One

ROCK HILL, S.C.--May 22, 2000--Rhodia Silicones' innovative amino-functional silicone fluid called Rhodorsil(R) 2000DR offers car polish formulators a 2-in-1 solution to achieve shine and detergent resistance all in one product.
Formulators typically need to use two different silicone fluids in their formulations. One to achieve high gloss and shine and another to provide detergent resistance to frequent car washing. Now, with Rhodia's Rhodorsil(R) 2000DR, formulators can achieve both with just one product.
Specifically developed by Rhodia to meet the modern need of improved detergent resistance due to frequent car washing, Rhodorsil(R) 2000DR replaces the traditional multi-silicone components to deliver an optimum balance of gloss and detergent resistance to liquid or paste formulations.
The polar amino-functionality of Rhodorsil(R) 2000DR enables the wax or polish to attach itself to the surface. Moisture and heat from the environment cause the reactive groups on the fluid to polymerize, allowing the formulation to bond to the polished surface. The result is a surface with greater durability, shine and detergent resistance.
Rhodorsil(R) 2000DR may be used in pre-softened paste or liquid cream polish formulations.
