AMA: Weekend Motorcycle Racing Results

2000 AMA/Chevy Trucks 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship, Round 1: Glen Helen
Raceway San Bernardino, California, May 14, 2000

Team Honda's Sebastien Tortelli led the way for the Red Riders with a 2-2 finish
in both races Sunday as the AMA/Chevy Trucks U.S. 250cc Motocross Championships
got underway. Ricky Carmichael.won both motos to take first overall. Red Rider
Kevin Windham placed fifth for the day with a 6-3 card while Team Amsoil/Factory
Connection/Jack in the Box Honda racer Mike LaRocco earned seventh overall with
his 9-6 day.

Team Honda's Ezra Lusk made his return to racing after being injured in practice
at the first Supercross in Anaheim, finishing eighth with 7-9 moto scores. Round
2 of the Motocross National series moves to Sacramento, California on May 21.

2000 FIM World Superbike Championship Round 4: Donington Park, England, May 14,
2000

Castrol Honda's Colin Edwards and his RC51 won the first race of the sun-baked
fourth round of the World Superbike championship at Donington Park on Sunday.
Edwards crashed out of the second race, but maintains second overall in series
points. Edward's teammate Aaron Slight, returning to racing form after a
miraculous recovery from brain surgery just weeks ago - finished ninth and
seventh, respectively.

Round 5 of the World Superbike Series moves to Monza, Italy on May 21.
