Prevention of Headlight Breakage

New Light Shields Prevent
Headlight Breakage

Broken headlights are a common problem. Studies
have shown that 1 out of 6 vehicles will require
headlight replacement due to damage from road debris.
On high-end vehicles, the cost can be as much as $1,800.

New X-Pel Clear Protective Light Shields, made by San
Antonio, TX-based Reflex Enterprises, prevent breaking,
cracking and pitting of headlights, fog lights and turn
signal lights.

Do-it-yourself kits to fit most domestic and foreign cars
and truck from 1988 to 2000 models are available. The
shields are precision die-cut for a perfect fit. Kits are
backed by a $1,000 headlight replacement guarantee
and a 4-year product warranty. They cost between $19.95
to $59.95.

Tests have proven that the invisible shields will sustain
impacts from stones up to 1-inch in diameter at speeds
exceeding 120 mph with no damage.

Shields are made of Department of Transportation
approved scratch resistant material and do not change
the appearance of the vehicle. The product is U.V.
stabilized so as not to discolor and will not distort light.
