Chicago Auto Show Traffic Plan Puts Everything Back to Normal

19 February 2000

CHICAGO -- "We're all set for a huge weekend," said Bill Stasek, chairman
of the 92nd Chicago Auto Show. "The parking lots are clear and the show is
ready for what is, traditionally, the biggest weekend of our ten-day run."

"Even with Friday's snow, more than 61,000 Chicagoans made their way to
McCormick Place on Friday," said Stasek. "The lots have remained clear
throughout the day and with our weekend shuttles it will be business as usual
for us."

While show officials always encourage the use of public transportation,
those wishing to drive are encouraged to use the continuous-loop auto show
shuttle buses which will be operational over the weekend from the Monroe St.,
Grant Park and Comiskey Park lots. Shuttles will run from 10 a.m. -- 10 p.m.
both Saturday and Sunday.

"The new Comiskey Park shuttle was so well-received last weekend,"
commented show general manager Jerry Cizek. "It's another way that we've made
coming to the nation's largest auto show an enjoyable experience." Attendance
for the show through Friday night totaled 769,790. Hours for the show are
from 10 a.m. -- 10 p.m.
