Detroit Camper & RV Show is Coming to Novi

    DETROIT, Feb. 15 -- The Michigan Association of Recreational
Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC) is sponsoring the 34th Annual Detroit Camper
& RV Show in Novi, February 16-20, 2000, at the Novi Expo Center.  The event
will feature all types and sizes of year 2000 recreation vehicles, including
folding campers, motor homes, travel trailers, truck campers, park models and
fifth wheels.  The models on display range in price from $3,000 to over
$200,000.
    This year, audiences can find their "fortune" at the show while checking
out the new year 2000 model RVs.  Psychic readers will be on hand to read
palms, crystal balls, rune stones, tarot cards and even car and RV keys!  The
Boehmer Family Jugglers will entertain you with their acrobatic feats on
Wednesday and Thursday.  This family of 13 is famous for their creative
talent.  They have made appearances on TV shows such as The Maury Povich Show
and Amazing America.  Watch the master of art hypnosis, Jim Hoke, as he takes
over the power of the human mind.  Watch Michael Jacobson escape a straight
jacket, divide a woman in thirds and other Houdini-style illusions on Saturday
and Sunday.  Additional family fun includes wizards Rand and Kronos performing
magic tricks.  The Salvation Army's Jr. Bed & Bread Club will be selling candy
bars and accepting donations to help provide food and shelter for the
homeless.
    The 34th Annual Detroit Camper & RV Show will be held at the Novi Expo
Center and is open weekdays, 2 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday, Noon-9 p.m., and Sunday,
Noon-6 p.m.  The cost for adult admission (age 13 and up) is $6.50; children
age 12 and under are admitted free!  Seniors are admitted for just $4.50 on
Wednesday, February 16 (no coupon necessary).  Discount coupons are available
at National City Bank branches, Detroit area Dunkin Donuts or online at
http://www.marvac.org.  2-for-1 admission coupons are available at participating RV
dealers.
