Tom Marinelli Named Vice President - Chrysler/Jeep Global Brand CenterAUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 14 -- Effective April 1, Thomas Marinelli is appointed Vice President - Chrysler/Jeep(R) Global Brand Center, reporting to A.C. "Bud" Liebler. In this position, Marinelli, 48, assumes responsibility for directing the strategic planning, advertising, customer relationship management, product platform representation and field marketing activities for the Chrysler and Jeep brands worldwide. Most recently, Marinelli was President of Chrysler Jeep Automotive S.A., based in Brussels, Belgium and oversaw product and marketing related activities of the Chrysler brands in Europe. "Tom's international experience will be invaluable as we work to integrate our domestic and international marketing processes to establish a global brand management organization for the Chrysler and Jeep brands around the world," said Liebler, Senior Vice President, Global Brand Marketing. "Tom will be able to help us establish a true global focus for these brands." Marinelli joined DaimlerChrysler Corporation in 1975, holding a number of positions in the company's regional zone offices as well as in the sales and marketing organization. Marinelli also served for a year as Vice President - Marketing for Chrysler Canada. Marinelli holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Boston College and a master's degree in Management from Michigan State University. Marinelli replaces Martin Levine who is retiring to take a position as President and CEO of PentaMark, whose subsidiaries are BBDO Detroit, InterOne Marketing Group (formerly Ross Roy), and PentaCom.
