New Crash Test Results
Available on NHTSA's World Wide Web Site

The latest crash test results for model year 2000 vehicles are now available on the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) world wide web site: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov.

Rated for frontal impact are the Daimler-Chrysler LHS four-door, Ford Taurus four-door, Saturn SL four-door, Toyota Camry four-door, Mazda MPV van, Mercury Villager van, and Chevrolet S-10 pickup.

Rated for side impact are the Daimler-Chrysler Caravan van, Chevrolet S-10 pickup Ford F-150 extended pickup, Ford Ranger extended pickup.

For both frontal and side impact, the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) reports crash test results in a range of one to five stars, with five stars showing the best crash protection for vehicles. Frontal tests should be compared only within the same weight class.
