AMA: LaRocco stays within striking distance of Supercross leaders

2000 AMA/EA Sports Supercross Series, Round 5: Houston Astrodome, Houston,
Texas, February 5, 2000

Mike LaRocco needed all 20 laps of the main event to earn a hard-fought fifth
place at the Houston Astrodome, in round five of the 2000 AMA/EA Sports 250cc
Supercross Series, hanging on to third place in points on his Team
Amsoil/Factory Connection/Jack in the Box Honda CR250R.

Team Honda$B!G(Bs Kevin Windham and Sebastien Tortelli finished seventh and ninth to
put three Hondas into the top nine in front of a crowd of 46,777. Points leader
Jeremy McGrath notched his third win of the series with Ricky Carmichael and
David Vuillemin rounding out the top three.

 Next week's action moves to the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday,
February 12 for Round 6 of the series.
