24 January 2000
LISLE, Ill. -- Budget Car and Truck Rental is offering its Ranger Pickup with a 4-door extended cab and a huge locking trunk at last century's prices throughout 2000. Customers who book their reservations on the Internet any time, any day, during 2000 at http://www.budget.com will receive the Ranger Pickup at an Internet exclusive rate of just $19.99 per day with unlimited mileage. "Consumers are always assured of finding value-added offers on the budget.com Web site. The $19.99 per day Ranger Pickup is available every day of the year and at an amazing price -- enough to persuade customers who don't normally book over the Internet to give it a try," said Mike Gavelek, vice president of Marketing. The Ranger Pickup is both hip and cool, not to mention loaded. It has power windows and locks and comes in a variety of colors. It has the same amount of head and leg room as a Ford Explorer and features the largest trunk in the industry, which holds four times more luggage than many competitive economy cars. Some of Budget's Ranger Pickups have CD players, cruise control and remote keyless entry. An additional concession fee may apply at some locations. Optional LDW not to exceed $16.99. Check your automobile insurance policy for rental vehicle coverage. Offer is valid through December 31, 2000 at participating locations. Subject to vehicle and rate availability. Blackout dates apply. One-day advance reservation required. Rates may not be combined with any other promotional offer. Taxes, surcharges, refueling, and optional items are extra. The airport concession fee of up to 10% may be avoided at some locations if you arrive at the location other than by using the designated airport shuttle bus. Hawaii and California VLF not to exceed $1.98/day are extra. Vehicle must be returned to renting location, except where otherwise permitted. Local rental and age requirements apply. Additional charges and restrictions may apply.
