Titan Joins Fender to Produce an Industry FirstPHOENIX, Jan. 18 -- In an industry-leading move, Titan Motorcycle Co. of America announced today that it has reached an agreement with Fender Musical Instruments and Destiny Marketing LLC to produce a collector-series motorcycle and guitar set. The result is the remarkable pairing of the Stratocaster, unquestionably the greatest guitar of all time, with one of the most respected and sought-after motorcycles ever created. "The coming together of Fender and Titan, both leaders in their respective industries, in this joint project is truly groundbreaking," said Mark Green, Titan's director of marketing. The limited-edition set will be appropriately named the Strat-O-Cruiser(TM). The classically styled 1835cc high-performance bike, with companion design features inspired by the guitar, comes equipped with an authentic Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster-style guitar, handcrafted especially for the Strat-O-Cruiser(TM) Collection and mounted alongside the bike with a specially appointed hand-crafted leather holster. Adding to the uniqueness of this exceptional combination is an integral official Fender amplifier, creating truly mobile entertaining possibilities. The Strat-O-Cruiser(TM) will be unveiled for selected press and guests on January 20 at the prestigious Barrett-Jackson Auction in Phoenix. It will be premiered for the music industry at the National Association of Music Manufacturers Show (NAMM) to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, February 3 through 6, 2000. Sales of Strat-O-Cruiser(TM) limited-edition motorcycle/guitar sets are scheduled to begin January 20, 2000.
